About Us
Located in Auckland, New Zealand
Manufacturing Systems Group scientists and engineers drive product development from ideation through concept design, prototyping, testing, validation, all the way to manufacturing and scale-up.
As a group, we believe innovation is the engine of our growth โ and intellectual property plays a critical role in protecting it.
Our IP portfolio is actively managed and continually evolved to align with our innovation strategy and global operations. This disciplined approach helps safeguard our competitive edge and supports long-term value creation for our stakeholders.

Facility
Well-equipped with high-tech tools for analysis and visualisation of product surfaces, manufacture and polymer processing tools

Novel polymer technology
Delivers exceptional performance across several key dimensions: high production speed, compatibility with almost any polymer at high loading levels, producing precise die replication, low internal stress and simultaneous forming on both top and bottom film surfaces.

Competitive edge in manufacturing high performance products
Includes those products that fall outside the bounds of conventional processing.

Products

Product: Amorphous Silicon Solar Cells
Location: Kumamoto, Japan
Innovative amorphous silicon solar cells which are light weight, and flexible for incorporation into building integrated photovoltaic products.
In conjunction with F-WAVE roofing tiles, this product has been used to create a revolutionary Building Integrated Photovoltaic Roof (BIPV) that can capture both electricity from the cells and thermal energy.

Product: Polymer Roofing
Location: Texas, United States
Innovative roofing shingles, with a proprietary blend of commercial-grade polymers which enhance strength and UV resistance.
The shingles are thicker, stronger, lighter and more durable than competing products and are resistant to fire, wind, hail, cracking and fading, leading to years of maintenance free performance.

Electrochemical Sensing Products

Improving Catalysis
Application 1: Environmental Monitoring
Developing low-cost, nitrate sensing buoys designed for long term deployment, which can be implemented at scale to map entire water catchments in near real time.
Application 2: Point-of-Care Diagnostic
Developing various cartridges for point-of-care diagnostics, that incorporate a unique polymer-based microelectrode array, which demonstrates responses to target analytes at >3500 times less concentration than that of optical measurement in ELISA tests.
Application 1: Novel Alkaline Electrolyser
Developing a novel electrochemical cell that incorporates 3-D electrodes, and catalysts leading to improvements in voltage cost and rate for alkaline electrolysis.
Application 2: Nitrogen to Ammonia
Application 3: CO2 sequestration to high value products
